Our guest this month is none other than Ted Dowling, who is the VP - BYD Canada of BYD Heavy Industries! Ted's focus for this episode will be on the Canadian commercial EV business from buses, trucks, delivery vans and Taxis. The impact on our GHG reduction goals and how it has driven change in the consumer market.

Teddy Dowling is a Canadian executive in the medium and heavy duty zero emission vehicle space.

He has spent his career working with teams building companies servicing public transit throughout the world. Ted is currently the Vice President of BYD s Canadian business unit.

Ted has served on numerous boards of Non-Profit organizations and is currently on the Electric Mobility Canada Board and a member of their Government Relations committee.

Ted is a frequent speaker at international conferences on the topics of mass deployment of electric fleets, heavy duty vehicle electrification and the need for better, cost effective infrastructure.

He has international experience, spearheading the acquisition of technology from abroad and extensive involvement in setting up joint ventures in countries in Asia, Europe and Australia.

In 2020, Ted was named to the Canadian Lacrosse Hall of Fame.
