Meet and greet: 6:00 PM

Meeting: 6:30pm – 8:00pm

Please join us for this month's meeting which will include announcements about the latest development in EVs, upcoming EVents, and will feature a guest speaker: John Meyer.

Topic: A presentation on energy in Canada and the critical position EVs occupy in the energy mix. This presentation taken in part from his lecture at the University of Calgary.

Author of: "The Renewable Energy Transition - Realities for Canada and the World".

About John: John is a semi-retired small business owner with a degree in economics.  He has had a number of articles published in Canada’s major newspapers dealing with a range of topics as well as presenting a paper on Energy Currency at a conference in Split, Croatia.  Mr. Meyer is currently President of the NGO “Canadians for a Sustainable Society” and owner and designer at a small medium tech manufacturing company.   He dabbles in solar electric and heating systems as well as electric bikes and is currently building a house which he expects to be (eventually) energy positive.  His primary interests are the changes necessary to achieve a sustainable society.
