EV Road Tax Position

    Does the EV society have a position on transitioning some sort of revenue to EV?

    Currently the impact on revenue of EVs is less than 0.5% but at 100% adoption in a vehicle class it will at most be 4% within that class. 

    If there is a consensus forming or a proposal exists please let me know.

    On the other hand I’ve written a detailed proposal based on transition time, use, impact and revenue responsibility for EVs that will help us, government and public perception.

    We don't have a formal position at the moment, but our general position is that we know some form of road tax will eventually be required but at this time it is too early, especially as many Canadian and International jurisdictions are trying to incentivize EV adoption.

    If you have already put together a proposal on this we would be happy to take a look at it.
